This short film is the most personal work I've ever made because I relate so strongly to the main character. The story was never about the girl wanting to be with the boy, it was her wanting to BE the boy. It features a college student who is experiencing identity challenges in her life, something she can't really express, but all she knows is that she wants "Everything But This". I wanted to make an LGBTQ+ themed film for a long time, and I hope this made someone out there feel that they're not alone because believe me, I've been there. My mission is to improve representation in entertainment and give marginalized people a voice to be heard in an honest and authentic way.
