The concept of adventure means different things to different people. To some it is breaking out of their routines; to others, it is venturing into the unknown; to others yet, adventure is simply daring to go. Whether you choose red or blue, what matters most is that you experience the thrill of adventure.

⚠️ Disclaimer:
As a rule, I normally wouldn't ride on train tracks for very obvious reasons. This track has been inactive since 2024 as the railway fell into disrepair and is temporarily non-operational pending repairs to the line.
There are number of inactive railway lines around Cape Town that have not seen commercial freight trains for a number of years. A Cape Town-based establishment, Ceres Rail Company (CRC) has since 2016 restored and operated steam and diesel locomotives for tourist passenger hauling along some of these previously decommissioned lines. The main route currently operated by CRC is from Cape Town station to the Elgin Market in Grabouw via Sir Lowry's Pass. CRC trains run exclusively on weekends and public holidays.
