Join me on a 2,000+ mile solo motorcycle journey across Alaska and the Yukon — from my home in Talkeetna, across the Denali Highway, through Tok, and over the remote and breathtaking Top of the World Highway (Taylor Highway) to Dawson City for the annual Dust to Dawson moto gathering.
I’m a midlife woman (50s) on only my second summer back on a motorbike, riding my DR650 and tackling more gravel roads and remote stretches than ever before. Empty roads, sweeping landscapes, and quiet moments in nature shaped every mile of this ride.
This trip is for every woman who has ever wondered:
“Can I do something big and hard—alone?”
The answer is yes. Adventure is not reserved for the young, the fast, or the fearless. It’s for anyone willing to slow down, embrace uncertainty, and take the next mile as it comes.
If you’re a woman in midlife craving freedom, confidence, or the spark to try something bold, I hope this journey inspires you to chase your own adventure.
Slow down. Ride far. Embrace every minute.
Thanks for being here.

Viewers asked me:
What camera do you use? I have a DJI Osmo Action 4 as a helmet camera mounted with a Arai Helmet specific Chinmount. I am happy with the set up, but I will add a remote on my handlebar for next summer for easy start/stop recording.
What tires did you choose? Motoz Tractionator for the rear; Shinko 244 for the front
What was your cruising speed? Always adjusting. I am not as gutsy (or dumb?) as I was when I was riding in the 90s. Especially gravel road riding which I am still new to.
What's the best season to ride in Alaska? June and July if you want to play it safe(r) with the weather.
