The all-new CFMOTO 1000MT-X is here — and I flew out to China to be the first one test ride it only three months after its global reveal. With the massive success of the 450MT and the already impressive 800MT-X, CFMOTO is clearly aiming big in the adventure segment. But the real question is — does the 1000MT-X truly raise the bar, or is it just a bigger number on paper? In this first ride review, I break down everything you need to know: – Build quality and finish – Tech package and rider aids – Suspension, brakes and tyres – Real-world engine feel and throttle response – Weight and handling impressions – And of course… pricing and market positioning Powered by a 946cc parallel twin making around 111hp and 105Nm of torque, loaded with an 8-inch vertical TFT touchscreen, Bosch IMU, cruise control, quickshifter, heated grips and seat — this bike is clearly targeting serious competition like the Yamaha Ténéré 700 and KTM 890 Adventure.
