It’s been about three years since I last rode a Yamaha Tracer 7, and I loved it at the time. Fast-forward to 2025 and Yamaha’s released this — the Tracer 7 GT, a more touring-focused version of their popular middleweight all-rounder.
The GT gets hard panniers, a taller screen, heated grips, a new chassis, updated suspension, and a fancy TFT dash — all aimed at making it the perfect lightweight sports-tourer.
In this first ride review, I’ll find out whether Yamaha’s changes have improved what was already a brilliant, budget-friendly machine — and whether this GT model could be the ultimate real-world touring bike.
