The idea for this video started when I questioned the type of filmmaker I wanted to be and the constant competition I felt. I've felt for a long time that all people want is to become the best. There's pride in becoming the best. You are the number one in your category.
However, the more I thought about it, the more I realized this was never my goal. It wasn't to become the best - at really anything. Being the best is in many ways measured by numbers, and that is something I don't really care about.
All I care about is the impact that I have and the impression I leave on the world and the people I've met. I know that I'm not the best filmmaker. I know I don't have the most followers, views, or awards, but that's okay because I know how to be honest and vulnerable, and one day I hope that means more.
