Part of the Ben10 challenge, Carlisleshoekspruit pass heads directly North from the beautiful town of Rhodes to the Lesotho border (and Ben Macdhui pass) at the Tiffindell ski resort. From there you can either head eastward to the Naude's Nek lookout point via the TTT (Tiffindell Tenahead Traverse) or westward to Wartrail via the Volunteershoek pass. Either option is an incredible route. This was filmed descending from Tiffindell towards Rhodes.
This was from a recent trip to the Eastern Cape Highlands area. Unfortunately due to time constraints, we were unable to do all ten passes missing out on Lundean's Nek, Bastervoetpad, Otto Du Plessis, Dangershoek and Pot River Passes. From Rhodes, we headed onward to Lesotho via Sani Pass, Katse dam, Afriski and Semonkong. Hopefully I get an opportunity to ride in this incredible area again soon. I'd also like to venture further east to tackle Ongeluks Nek as I’m told it’s well worth a visit. Who knows, maybe even attempt Baboon's 👀 Think it’s doable on a big bike?
