I hiked to this abandoned train trestle in the Southern California desert of the Anza Borrego desert State park called Goat Canyon Trestle. 15 miles from the border of Mexico lies part of the Impossible Railway, a once active train route that connected Mexico with the Imperial Valley and Arizona, along the route is the longest all wood trestle in the world reachable by a long, hot and exposed trail that takes you 3 miles each way through the desert. Do not attempt this hike without ample water and an off line map.
